Installation and upgrade

Install the module from the zip file, update it by uploading the next zip, and read the warning about Reset before you press it.

Install the module

  1. In the back office, open Module Manager and press Upload a module.
  2. Drop the zip file of the module, or choose it on your computer. PrestaShop installs it.
  3. Open the module's page with Configure, or with the Product Quiz entry under Sell. Both open the same page.
  4. Clear the cache in Advanced Parameters › Performance › Clear cache, so your browser and your shop load the new files.
The module in Module Manager
  1. The module's card, with its version.
  2. The button that opens the module's page.

The first time you open the page, the checklist shows five first steps. The first steps explains them.

Upgrade from version 1.5

Version 2.0 replaces the six menu entries of 1.x with one page. You update by uploading the zip, as for a first installation: PrestaShop runs the upgrade by itself, and it can start from any 1.x version up to 1.5.0.

  • Everything is kept: your quizzes, results, contacts, completed quizzes and pictures. A quiz that was live stays live, in every active language.
  • The rules of 1.x written as boost rules are kept and appear as Add points (advanced).
  • The home page banner is no longer automatic. If your 1.x banner followed the latest active quiz, the update pins the quiz it showed at that moment. A quiz you create later does not replace it. Choose the quiz you want in Home page banner.
  • Contact and newsletter are two separate choices for the shopper.

After the update, clear the cache as after a first installation (Install the module).
